Who's your president?

In case you are debating between Hillary and Obama, choose the one closest to your idealogy here. Do not be surprised by the results.

So, do I have a higher IQ or not?

Some "studies" really make me more confused than before... Here is one that says here that first born's have a higher IQ than others. The other here says that taller people have higher IQ. Now what if the second born children who are taller than their older siblings, as in my case? Do they have a higher IQ or not?

Is Hell exothermic or endothermic

Great analysis on whether Hell is exothermic or endothermic. http://www.pa.msu.edu/~raman/FunPhysics/hell.htm

Okay for those of you who don't know what these stand for or have forgotten what they are, here goes:

Exothermic / Endothermic?
===================

Any system which is hotter than its surroundings and hence gives out heat is termed Exothermic

Any system which is cooler than its surrounding and hence absorbs heat is termed Endothermic

Sledging

With me in the US, I have few chances to watch a cricket match live.. most of those that I see are from posts on youtube... things that I miss now are characters like, say, a Merv Hughes or a Javed Miandad. Who can forget JM mimicking Kiran More during the 92 WC or Hughes' sledging. Here are some that I found
http://garysellers.blogspot.com/2006/06/sledging-in-cricket.html and http://www.pa.msu.edu/~raman/Personal/Humour/Sledges.htm. Noticed that this posting has some wrong names... but enjoyable, nonetheless.

Foot off the pedal

Having enjoyed the first Semi-final of the World Cup (are we glad that we here, this is the longest and probably the most boring of them all), one thing that caught my attention was Jayawardhane's comment about pushing himself and not slipping into a comfort zones.

How prone is a human being to rest on one's achievements (however small they might be) and not seek the next challenge. I really think we push ourselves a lot when we are much younger and then take the foot off the pedal as we grow older.

Best celebrity interviews

I love reading the interviews by Shekar Gupta at http://www.indianexpress.com/fullcoverage/30.html. For people like me who have no access to the live versions on NDTV, the transcripts are blessing.

Out of sight... out of mind

Heartbreaking article on the U-15 cricket world cup winners who lost their way or their motivation after their historic win 10 years ago. Md. Kaif is the only one who is seriously around with a chance...  Take a look at the Pak team, guys. Lots of players who graduated to the next level and some of them are doing rather well...

Either the Indian senior team is too good or we did something horribly wrong.

Hope we do not look back at the recent U-19 finalists in the manner in a few years from now.
